Most couples therapy is NOT covered by insurance because insurance only reimburses when the focus is on one partner’s mental health diagnosis, not general relationship or communication issues. If your sessions are primarily about the relationship itself, they will need to be paid out-of-pocket. If you have questions about billing or coverage, please discuss it with your provider during the initial free phone consultation.
